Low Slip Decking Boards SafaWood®

Our SafaWood® low slip decking boards offer you a safe and secure way to improve the appearance of any outdoor area. Standard decking is prone to becoming hazardous when wet or icy, this limits the time you can safely use your decking. At RubberSmart we believe the weather or time of year shouldn’t prevent you from enjoying your outdoor space. Our low slip decking boards are unique as they offer the physical appearance of traditional decking with far superior gripping properties. It is also low maintenance, meaning you spend less time cleaning your decking and more time enjoying it.

In order to make our decking boards we first take some high quality, softwood deck board and pressure treat it for a set period of time. This seals the wooden boards and prevents rot and deterioration. We then take EPDM granules and attach them along the length of the board. These are adhered by hand to ensure a smooth, even finish. EPDM is a great material for this as it offers superior gripping properties to the wooden boards. It also gives you cushioning underfoot, making it more comfortable to walk on.

We can also offer a range of different products to change the appearance of your outdoor area. You can view our full surfacing range here.

Attractive and Safe

Our SafaWood® low slip decking boards are available in charcoal and red as standard but we offer a choice of five other colours as a special order. We chose these colours specifically to give you a bright, attractive option to improve your outdoor area. Our anti slip decking is also ideal for use in a range of weather conditions without fear of slips and trips. Our decking boards have a rating of ‘low potential for slip’ conforming to BS 7976 part 2. This is an independent organisation that ensure safety products meet specific guidelines. Other companies may claim to provide non-slip decking but don’t meet the necessary safety standards.

During the manufacturing process we stress test each board to ensure it can withstand heavy use over a long period of time. This means you get only the highest quality product. Customer satisfaction is something we take seriously here at RubberSmart.
